Eckington Sanctuary was formed to support a refugee family by integrating them into our local Eckington Community. To achieve this we are committed to supporting the family both socially and financially for at least their first 2 years in our community. We will need to find suitable accommodation and provide adequate furnishings etc. We will need also to ensure any children are able to receive adequate education so will also be seeking the help of the local schools. The family will need to acquire English language skills to aid them in integrating into our culture and find employment. To achieve this we will need to raise initially in the order of £14,000 and will be seeking the help of our generous community and local businesses.
